What is the difference between a nitrogen gas spring and a traditional spring?

Time:2021-05-23    Edit by TengFei

Nitrogen gas springs for molds are high-pressure sealed metal products. They have undergone rigorous multi-process inspections and repeated tests before leaving the factory, and no gas leakage is allowed. Therefore, the company also strictly requires users to use the correct installation method and use environment to ensure the gas spring Safety and reliability and better service life.

1. When the mold nitrogen gas spring is used as an independent part, after it is installed in the mold, it generally does not need to be disassembled and repaired within the service life.

2. If the nitrogen gas spring is connected as a system, it must be operated under the guidance of specially trained personnel or professionals. Special attention should be paid to disassembly or maintenance before the nitrogen in the cylinder is completely released to prevent accidents. .

3. The screws at the lower end of the special nitrogen gas spring for the mold mainly play the role of protection and strengthening of the seal, and shall not be disassembled or knocked at will.

4. Recommended working stroke≤0.9×S (manufacturing stroke).

5. The non-perpendicularity between the contact surface of the component pressed by the upper end of the piston rod and the axis of the piston rod should be ≤1° (that is, it should be kept vertical, and partial load is strictly prohibited).

6. The movement direction of the component pressed by the upper end of the piston rod must be parallel to the movement direction of the piston rod.

7. After the nitrogen gas spring is compressed, the piston rod shall not be allowed to return freely, otherwise it will cause internal damage to the nitrogen gas spring.

8. Be careful to keep the cylindrical surface of the piston rod clean, be careful of scratches, and forbid knocking and collision.

9. It is strictly forbidden to put the nitrogen gas spring in the environment of hot sun and high heat source. Generally, the maximum allowable temperature is +80℃.

10. Mould nitrogen gas springs should be stored in a dry and ventilated environment, packaged and stored in a non-corrosive gas environment. If they are not used for a long time after unpacking and installation, grease can be applied to the outer surface to protect against corrosion.
